Artist and mother Scarlet Yu Mei brings Landscape of Attention to Hong Kong — a participatory workshop.

What happens to our attention when we care for others?

In the everyday experience of parenting, attention is constantly interrupted and redirected. A child calls, something needs to be done, a conversation is broken, and our attention moves elsewhere. Rather than seeing these moments as a failure to focus, Landscape of Attention asks what might become possible when we understand distraction as another way of noticing, responding and being with others.

Through drinks, conversations, writing, movement and shared traces, the workshop invites participants to explore how attention moves between people, bodies, objects and everyday situations.

The workshop does not offer a method for becoming more focused. Instead, it creates a space to practise moving with divided attention — noticing what calls us, what we respond to, and how our relations shift in the process.

Open to all ages. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

《分心吧》源於藝術家余美華 @scarletyu 作為母親的日常觀察：育兒中的注意力，總是不斷被打斷、轉移，卻也正是在這些流動之中，照顧悄悄發生。這個工作坊邀請大家重新想像「分心」——它或許不是專注的失敗，而是一種感知他人、回應環境的能力。

透過飲品、對話、文字與共同創作，我們一起放慢腳步，感受注意力如何在親子、家庭與生活之間流動，並帶走幾個能延續到日常的「事件譜」，重新發現照顧與連結的可能。

歡迎任何年齡人士參與，18歲以下參加者必須由一位成年人陪同。
