Read MEmory is a durational one-on-one performance that unfolds over six hours each day. The audience is invited to engage in a card-reading session, where each card chosen reveals a fragment of a larger, intergenerational narrative—a hybrid of personal histories shared by my grandmother, mother, and myself. This trans-historical exploration of memory, movement, and narrative reflects how identities are constantly reshaped through the acts of remembering and co-creating.
"The whole artistic meeting lasted almost an hour, during which the participant -this time me - followed the paths appointed by the divinatory cards through the life of Scarlet Yu. The reference to the so-called divination seers was very popular in Asia, was the way to show the richness of feelings and emotions written on the artist's body - its history, which is also a universal story of every woman - using extremely minimalist means."
