Planting Tastes is a project that merges culinary arts with choreography, creating a multisensory experience that traces the genealogy of ingredients, with a particular focus on those in the “chocolate belt.”  this work examines the social and cultural implications of food, questioning how the preparation and consumption of ingredients like chocolate are deeply connected to historical processes of migration, colonization, and transformation. Planting Tastes creates a space where taste, memory, and movement converge to reimagine the ways in which food tells the story of our collective histories. Participants embark on a journey that navigates how food ingredients play a role in shaping our social and cultural experiences.
